This individual will provide support to the Northeast Regional Corporate Director who proudly provide support to over 20,000 Flight Attendants and 300 leaders and support staff throughout the vast Delta network. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a blend of administrative expertise and interpersonal skills to ensure smooth operations and effective collaboration.
The successful candidate will be expected to perform advanced, diversified, and confidential executive administrative duties. The candidate must be organized, flexible and enjoy the executive administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people and programs.
The successful candidate will interact with individuals inside and outside the company with a high degree of professionalism and business presence. The candidate must be resourceful, and efficient in a fast-paced operational 24/7 environment and exhibit an energetic "can-do" approach to the responsibilities of this position. This is not a remote opportunity and is expected to work onsite at JFK and LGA, and some travel is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to executives, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements
Prepare, edit, and summarize correspondence, reports, presentations, org charts, memos, letters, and other documents as needed utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is a requirement
Conduct research and compile data for various projects and reports
Streamline office processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency
Support project management efforts by coordinating tasks and deadlines
Acts as an information source on policies, procedures, processes, and practices
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and diplomacy
Must be highly advanced in multitasking and possess the ability to manage multiple high-level projects
Create, manage, and maintain multiple schedules, meetings, and travel itineraries
Monitors and purchase office supplies using purchasing account
Completes, submits, and reconciles expense reports and invoice statements
Receives telephone calls, and prepares responses to correspondence containing routine and sometimes complex inquiries are typical tasks associated with the position
Coordinates details of event planning and logistics including meetings, A/V conference set-up, conference rooms, presentation and materials preparation, catering coordination, venue layouts, external vendors, etc.
Candidate must feel comfortable and be flexible, problem-solve, proactive, resourceful, and efficient in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure
Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are equally important
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Possesses advanced computer skills in Microsoft Outlook and strong working knowledge of Windows-based applications like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to take initiative, work independently and have a strong sense of business maturity
Maintain composure in an ever-changing environment, able to handle competing priorities and effectively handle a high-volume of email/workload – pivoting when necessary while acting with a sense of urgency
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and diplomacy
Must be team-oriented and able to coordinate activities across multiple departments working closely with administrative assistants in other areas
Demonstrate excellent communication skills necessary to screen and route correspondences and make inquiries regarding business processes or schedules and be able to communicate and direct the assignments and responsibilities of others as necessary
Has the necessary skills to effectively write business correspondence
Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to greet visitors, customers, and business partners or to make inquiries and exchange business information
Must be able to apply attention to detail sufficiently to ensure that information is accurate and correct, that documents are grammatically correct, and that work is completed in a timely manner
Must have the ability to coordinate the schedules of multiple aspects of projects assigned by individual staff members or vendors
Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of staff from frontline employees to executive staff
Must be performing satisfactorily in present position

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

Pay Range: $19.57-$39.04 per hour
