Where We Need You:

The Internal Audit and Financial Advisory practice is seeking a Director to join our growing team focused within the Financial Services industry. While the client base requires skills in market segments across financial services, our team is seeking specific audit expertise in capital management, liquidity, and regulatory reporting within banking, brokerage and capital markets. Successful candidates will have audit expertise in at least one of these areas, with experience at large financial services institutions preferred.

Do Your Talents Include the Following?

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including documentation of findings and recommendations.

  • A solid foundation in internal audit processes and objectives.

  • An understanding of core business processes such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Revenue etc. with knowledge of accounting operations and financial frameworks.

  • Understanding of commonly used International Professional Practices Framework, including COSO and PCAOB.

  • Knowledge of audit methodologies and developing key internal audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.

  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance.

  • Ability to multi-task and oversee multiple engagements and work streams with various clients.

  • Knowledge of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA’s) code of ethics and compliance requirements.

  • Significant experience working within the financial services industryand/or audit expertise in capital management, liquidity, and regulatory reporting within banking, brokerage and capital markets. This includes proficiency in auditing liquidity risks, implementation of capital management strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, ability to interpret and apply them in various scenarios, and experience in liaising with regulatory bodies.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at improving audit processes.

  • Proven track record of successfully navigating the complex regulatory landscapes, including keeping abreast of latest regulatory changes and advising businesses accordingly.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data, make recommendations, and guide decision-making processes.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts and regulatory requirements to various stakeholders. Supervisory experience of teams including consultants, senior consultants, managers, senior managers and associate directors.

  • Advanced project management and status reporting capabilities.

  • Ability to network and build relationships.

  • Identify opportunities and establish a sales pipeline.

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, or Business Related Field).

  • 15+ years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, or related field, either in professional services, industry within the financial services industry, and/or with regulatory agencies in related areas.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.

  • Professional Certification such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or similar strongly preferred.

It is expected that you will reside within a reasonable daily commute of your assigned Protiviti home office by your start date. Protiviti employees work in a hybrid environment which means you will be required to work from a variety of locations including your Protiviti home office, an in-town and/or out-of-town client site, and/or from a remote location such as your residence. It is expected that you will be available to be physically present at the required work location and that you will have access to reliable transportation.

Protiviti operates in a hybrid environment. Travel can occur throughout the month based upon client requests/commitments. Travel may include suburban, regional, or out of state locations.

Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.

$160,000.00 - $272,000.00

Our annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities. Below is the bonus target opportunity for this job.

The total cash range is estimated from the sum of the base salary range plus the bonus target opportunity. Below is the estimated total cash range for this job.

$192,000.00 - $326,400.00

We offer eligible employees a company 401(k) savings and investment plan with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions. We provide Choice Time Off (CTO) for vacation, personal needs, and sick time. The amount of (CTO) varies based on years of service. New hires receive up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year.
