Perform intensive analysis of bond indentures, liquidity agreements, official statements, and other financial documents. Conduct initial and on-going credit analysis on a dedicated portfolio of companies. Actively monitor portfolio and make recommendations for rating transitions in a timely manner. Formulate a cogent rating rationale, present to rating committees, and lead committee discussion. Demonstrate rating judgment by distinguishing different entities at different ratings levels. Produce timely, in-depth, high quality, insightful, focused, and relevant research on specific issuers, general credit trends, or sector related issues. Build and maintain high profile relationships with investors and issuers, interacting frequently based upon written industry and topical research. Develop franchise through intermediary marketing and visibility initiatives, including conference participation. Lead issuer meetings, including effectively presenting key rating factors and asking probing questions that result in substantive dialog about key rating issues. Interact with senior company executives, investors, intermediaries and press/media. Effectively and comprehensively present credits in rating committees and other internal analytical meetings. Coach and develop junior analysts and support associates. Domestic and international travel required approximately 15% - 20% of the time. Destination and frequency impossible to predict.Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field plus three (3) years of experience as an Analyst or in a related position conducting quantitative assessments in a financial services firm. Must have experience with the following: conducting quantitative financial modeling and statistical analysis; analyzing credit impact of macro-economic events; presenting credit analyses internally and externally on infrastructure and taxable project finance; leading credit committee discussions; analyzing deal documents and authoring credit opinions, issuer analyses, or internal research memos; applying knowledge of capital markets and structures, infrastructure credit markets, and project finance credit markets; and reviewing legal documents, including indentures or loan documents. Domestic and international travel required approximately 15% - 20% of the time. Destination and frequency impossible to predict.For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $176,571 to $208,600, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
