Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is seeking a Technical Business/Data Analyst to join their team. As a Technical Business/Data Analyst, you will be part of the Financial Crimes Unit supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a creative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Technical Business/Data Analyst

Location: Jersey City, NJ - hybrid

Pay Range: $52-56/hr W2

(due to client rules, we are unable to work with 3rd party subcontractors; all candidates must be able to work on Experis' W2)

What's the Job?

  • Responsible for business and data analysis in the Global Financial Crimes environment.

  • Work effectively in a fully mature agile team.

  • Collaborate closely with business partners to define requirements and ensure acceptance criteria is met for application changes.

  • Drive requirements gathering by partnering with multiple Technology and business teams.

  • Utilize SQL for querying databases and understanding data flows.

What's Needed?

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst (BA) with 7-10+ years; having worked in roles related to financial crimes, risk, or compliance is a big plus.

  • Excellent experience and knowledge of SQL and database technologies.

  • Familiarity with RDBMS technologies, Teradata, or big data environments such as Hadoop.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a team environment.
