    A Day in the Life

    The Makeup Complexion Manager collaborates closely with the Makeup Complexion Director to grow the complexion category. This growth is driven by consumer-centric, disruptive innovation, diligent management of core SKUs and business, and recommendations for strategic activation campaigns. This role focuses on Do It All, Bye Bye Under Eye and innovations/new launches within the Face + category. The Complexion Manager oversees holistic, end-to-end project management for new product creation, ensuring all activities are grounded in consumer insights and contribute to category growth.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

  • 5 years of experience successfully guiding marketing, branding and product management within consumer goods business. Experience within luxury and/or cosmetics is strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of international markets, international assignment a plus

  • Passionate about consumer trends and market needs within cosmetics

  • Creative thinker who challenges the status quo

  • Exceptional presentation skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and against tight deadlines

  • Must possess a strong sense of image, attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally to lead cross-functional departments

  • Strong people management experience and must possess leadership capabilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

    Responsibilities

  • Defines the strategy for the Face category, and by franchise in close partnership with the Face Director.

  • Develop consumer centric innovation 3-year innovation plan aligned with brand platform and target needs.

  • Execute Innovation plan from product brief inception to launch and activation in all major markets, in close partnership with cross-functional partners : R&I, Dev Ops, Creative, CE, Digital, Education, CMI.

  • Works in close partnership with external creative agencies to brief and deliver 360 product activation campaign. Ensure a cohesive, culturally relevant and competitive asset funnel, from paid to organic. In alignment with cross-functional partners, especially CE and Digital.

  • Works in close partnership with CMI partners to design robust consumer concept test to screen new concepts/product ideas or future launches.

  • Consumer centric approach for all developments, agility to track data on all l’Oreal resources (One Intelligence, CMI RI, Prospective, CDMO, Innovation teams…)

  • Partners with internal creative team to develop elevated and IT ownable packaging designs.

  • Review and facilitate all 2D and 3D artwork inclusive of packaging, merchandising and promotional elements prior to presentation to Senior Management

  • Manages contingency projects, current portfolio animation on key piliars, includes artwork process, aligned with GTM to ensure markets compliance

  • Works in close partnership with Product Development team to identify robust formula technologies, competitive, differentiating and scalable.

  • Partner with legal and claims vigilance on appropriate and approved claims for marketing story telling

  • Responsible for post-mortem analysis when relevant

  • Lead the revamp of the Visual Merchandising process based upon industry best practices

  • D&I Ownership: Innovate new ideas on how to expand the inclusivity of all makeup products

  • Promote the company in a positive light and bring the spirit of partnership to all interactions

  • Manage and develop a coordinator
