Employer: Sumitomo Mitsui Banking CorporationJob Title: Associate, Senior Portfolio Analyst (ref.# 6374)Job Location:Harborside 2, 200 Hudson Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302Duties:Perform financial analysis and research on portfolios to assess credit risk, historical performance, and future projections. Analyze key financial trends and regulatory reporting requirements, synthesize data into risk-related insights of portfolios, and develop documentation and reports in accordance with internal standards, regulations and banking laws. Manage data entry and data monitoring, and assure data governance and accuracy in reporting. Review, test, and validate internal risk models to minimize the credit risk to multi¬million-dollar portfolios. Develop strategies to increase portfolio profitability while reducing risk, and present analysis to senior management. Work closely with internal teams to identify issues and opportunities to improve risk control measures and communicate recommendations to senior management.Requirements:Master’s degree in finance, financial risk management or mathematics in finance plus 1 year of experience in the position offered or a portfolio analyst in a bank, asset management or other financial institution.All required experience must have included: understanding and applying various investment strategies to manage portfolios; constructing, monitoring and rebalancing investment portfolios to achieve client objectives; identifying, assessing and mitigating financial risks within portfolios; analyzing funds based on factors including risk adjusted returns, investment strategy, correlations, tenure, industry, and management; assigning asset classes and risk profiles to new investments based on investment structure, market capitalization, and expected return of the security; and creating portfolio reports and presentations using visualization tool such as Tableau, Power BI, or Portfolio Center.This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our Jersey City, NJ office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.Benefits:https://careers.sumitomocorp.com/content/why-sc-americas/
