Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Associate, Regulatory Reporting in Jersey City, New Jersey
Ensure the Bank’s continuous compliance with federal and industry financial reporting regulations, particularly for FR2052a analytics reports. Monitor, evaluate and analyze financial regulatory filings, develop regulatory reports concerning current and new regulations, and address financial reporting issues and irregularities. Compile reports submitted to the Federal Reserve Bank and other authorities, with focus on FR2052a complex institution liquidity monitoring report. Support monitoring of financial data quality and reconciliation standards using understanding of data sourcing, business process enhancement, and financial analytics. Research relevant industry initiatives and regulatory reporting changes, and make recommendations to update policies and procedures related to financial regulatory reporting.Requirements:Master’s degree in Finance, Global Finance, or Accounting, plus 2 years of experience in the position offered or a regulatory reporting and compliance role in the banking/finance domain. All required skills must have included verifying data compliance checks for regulatory reporting requirements using knowledge of financial products (including Loans, swaps, FX, deposits, derivatives) and U.S. regulatory environment and regulations covering financial data reporting such as LCR, NSFR; and transforming manual reporting processes into automated and managed solutions to improve operational efficiency, using data analysis and SQL, advanced Excel (macros), PowerBI and Alteryx.
