Group Details

We are seeking an Application Support analyst to join the Application Support team in Jersey City, NJ. The role requires full understanding of the system architecture, applying/suggesting bug fixes, developing new tools for system monitoring and reporting, and working with the internal business to identify and resolve issues. The role offers end-to-end understanding of a complex online bond trading platform. They will get to know the architecture inside out.

Tradeweb Technology jobs are fully remote. The Tradeweb Technology hub is located in our Jersey City office which can be used for team meetings and collaboration efforts. There may be days where travel to the Jersey City office is recommended for organizational off-sites.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensuring extremely high levels of availability for the production, UAT and test systems.

  • Resolution of any problems in these systems in a timely and professional manner.

  • The development of system instrumentation and monitoring tools.

  • Updating and modernizing the CI/CD pipeline

  • Leading the production deployments and business continuity tests.

  • Member of an on-call rotation for production support

  • Presents ideas for system improvements

  • Assist in automating manual processes

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent level of technical knowledge required

  • 4-7+ years of IT experience in a support role.

  • Experience supporting large scale, interconnected web applications

  • Experience with SQL scripting, preferably PL/SQL and Oracle

  • Experience with version control and continuous build and integration systems, preferably GitLab.

  • Technical knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems

  • Experience with shell, Perl and Python scripting

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Team player and detail oriented

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, often pressurized environment

  • Must be willing to work some evenings or weekends for production code deployments and other support needs

Additionally :

  • Development experience (Java, .NET, C++) is valuable

  • Experience with legacy application modernization projects

  • Use of observability and metrics tools like ELK, Grafana, Prometheus

  • The current pay range for this role is currently $120,000 to $235,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, and internal guidelines.

  • This role will also be eligible to participate in Tradeweb’s discretionary bonus program.

  • This role is expected to remain open until 4/19/25.
