Position: Manager, Operations (Business Analytics and Insights)Job Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030 Duties: Guide one or more work streams for the business analytics organization by designing project plans; organizing project timelines and deliverables; facilitating meetings involving stakeholder teams to analyze, plan, and implement project initiatives; developing and managing project requests and timelines by establishing project requirements; communicating project status, details, timelines, and available resources; planning and executing resource allocation; finalizing, approving, and delivering projects; taking corrective action as necessary to drive project results; and communicating project plans and deliverables to key stakeholders. Drive the development and improvement of new or existing analytical tools, reports, and customer-facing functionality by providing direction and input on project business and functional requirements; providing subject matter expertise; providing solutions for complex problems that span multiple businesses; leveraging best practices from cross-functional partners to streamline and improve processes across business analytics org; developing and implementing business scorecards and other tracking mechanisms; and partnering cross-functionally with product management, merchandising, data governance, engineering, and other groups to drive projects. Work collaboratively with resources on different data teams outside of WMGL to implement and refine strategy, reporting, and predictive capabilities. Create overall Data and Insights strategy for large scale Enterprise clients and internal stakeholders. Generate appropriate graphical representations of data and model outcomes. Understand customer requirements to design appropriate data representation for multiple data sets in visualization tools. Present to and influence the team and business audience using the appropriate data visualization frameworks and convey clear messages through business and stakeholder understanding. Provide decision support by sourcing, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data and information; providing influence and insight on current and future business trends; conducting analyses of initiatives to understand and communicate trends; translating data analysis into recommendations aligned with business objectives; and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop processes and strategies that help meet business goals. Support the understanding of the priority order of requirements and service level agreements. Identify the correct data source and build a single source of truth for the business. Perform initial data quality checks on extracted data. Determine user accessibility and remove or restrict user access as needed. Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; and providing recognition and rewards. This position does not supervise employees.Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering (any), Operations, Information Management, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering (any), Operations, Information Management, or related field and 2 years of experience in operations, project management, or related area.Skills required: Experience with multiple visualization tools including Tableau and Python libraries (ggplot, matplotlib, plotly, and seaborn) for creating dashboards using advanced visualization techniques. Experience transforming and automating data within cloud architectures including Google Cloud Platform, Snowflake, or AWS Redshift. Experience with Advanced SQL (including DML, DCL, DDL, TCL, and DQL) to develop complex queries, stored procedures, and source of truth datasets. Experience with one of the following Relational Databases: MySQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle. Experience with Python to analyze data in dataframe structure using libraries Pandas and Numpy. Experience with JIRA and Confluence for project management. Experience with Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex excel formulas), Google Slides, and PowerPoint for adhoc analysis and presentation. Experience using Salesforce CRM to understand the lifecycle of client journey and find insights. Experience creating and maintaining datamarts and robust ETL pipelines. Experience tuning and optimizing queries to improve the performance. Experience using GitHub for maintaining code repositories and version controlling. Experience with stakeholder management for project prioritization using Excel, Microsoft Project, JIRA or other related tools. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
