Tropicalfete Inc. Project Manager for Caribbean Cultural Program in Brooklyn, New York

Tropicalfete, Inc. seeks a highly organized and dynamic Project Manager for Caribbean Cultural Program to oversee the planning, execution, and management of Tropicalfete, Inc.’s various multicultural arts programs. The successful candidate will supervise a diverse team of Teaching Artists/Instructors, coordinate after-school and senior center programming, prepare detailed reports, and secure funding. This role requires a strong background in arts and culture program management. The Project Manager will be responsible for scheduling teaching artists in at least 10 schools and 5 senior centers, managing a staff of 10 people, and maintaining equipment inventory. The candidate must be willing to step in if an instructor is absent and travel to various program locations within New York City. Key Responsibilities•Oversee and manage Tropicalfete, Inc.’s multicultural Caribbean arts programs, including Theatre (Dance, Limbo, Aerialist, Spoken Word), Stilt Walking, Steel Pan, African Drums, Guitar, Piano, Violin, Trumpet, Voice Coaching, and Computer Music Production.•Supervise 5-10 Teaching Artists/Instructors, ensuring high-quality delivery of all programs.•Coordinate afterschool programming at various schools and programs at various senior centers, working closely with principals, directors, and relevant staff to organize cultural programming and culminating events.•Manage both students', seniors and instructors' attendance sheets, ensuring accurate and timely updates of records.•Review contractual agreements and ensure that deliverables, including program hours, number of students and seniors, and other metrics, are met.•Travel throughout different locations within New York City where programming is conducted.•Plan, implement, and manage a diverse range of multicultural art programs that align with the organization’s mission.•Maintain up-to-date records of all programs and activities, ensuring compliance with organizational and state requirements.•Prepare comprehensive reports at the end of each state contract with the New York State Department of Education, detailing program outcomes, financials, and other relevant metrics.•Facilitate training and workshops for instructors, whether through government-assigned training or privately organized sessions funded by Tropicalfete, Inc.•Schedule training for instructors in the area of CPR and first aid.•Ensure program budget and timeline are met by the end of the fiscal year.•Regularly conduct audits of programs to ensure compliance with organizational standards and funding requirements.Special Skills, Knowledge, and Techniques•Demonstrated familiarity with Caribbean Arts and Culture•CPR CertificationQualifications•Bachelor's degree in Business Management•One year of experience in administrationEmail to: recruitment@tropicalfete.com
