Project Engineer, Brooklyn, NY Under the supervision of the Project Manager, is responsible for leading and coordinating field staff and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications while maintaining efficiency and compliance with technical and safety standards. Responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting project plans, specifications, and contractual documents to align construction activities with client and regulatory requirements. The role involves preparing and processing RFIs, RFPs, and change orders, maintaining rigorous documentation through project management software. Additionally, it requires overseeing the design and safety of temporary structures used during construction and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems for enhanced accuracy and coordination among stakeholders. The Project Engineer manages budgetary, time-management, and communication aspects of the project while supervising all phases of construction site development, from mobilization to completion. Duties also include conducting SWPPP inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations in collaboration with Environmental Oversight Representatives (EORs). Responsibilities extend to performing labor and material takeoffs, forecasting costs, and evaluating potential design changes for financial impact transparency. The role involves managing construction projects from conceptualization through planning, execution, and closure while utilizing project management methodologies such as Agile and Lean principles, along with tools like Microsoft Project and Oracle Primavera for scheduling and risk management. Participation in public meetings and hearings with city officials and residents is required to address public safety and environmental concerns.
