R.A.I.N. Total Care Inc. Grant Writer Manager in Bronx, New York
POSITION SUMMARY
The Grant Writer Manager will function as a capacity builder through grant writing and reporting, researching foundations to find new grant opportunities, and collecting data and stories from internal stakeholders to support our work. They will focus on private philanthropy and public grants. Raise the private and governmental funding necessary to maintain essential community services and invest in new programming. He/she must be able to create text and materials that effectively communicate with donors, staff, supporters, and community members to promote the wide range of vital community services that we provide Write proposals and reports for a range of audiences including foundations, corporations, government agencies and individual donors; Research and identify funding opportunities and identify those that are potentially a good fit for supporting R.A.I.N. programs and strategic growth
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5-7 years of successful grant writing in non-profit organizations; Successful track record in grant cultivation and in stewarding grant proposals through the entire grant application and submittal process; Pursue, cultivate, solicit, and steward institutional funders and prospects; Manage the proposal and reporting process for institutional funders in their portfolio, which includes developing and writing compelling concept notes, grant proposals, and requests for institutional funding; Passion for storytelling, with the ability to transform technical and legal issues into broadly engaging, emotionally rooted, and informative narratives
