Planned Parenthood of Greater New York Flow Coordinator in Bronx, New York
POSITION SUMMARY
The Flow Coordinator for Project Street Beat (PSB) and Health Center Operations is responsible for managing the daily flow of patient care aboard the Mobile Health Centers (MHC), at community-based service locations, and within brick-and-mortar health centers. This role is critical in reducing client wait times and ensuring an efficient, positive patient experience. The Flow Coordinator will actively monitor client movement, prioritize service delivery, and optimize care coordination. The role requires the ability to perform Patient Care Associate (PCA) duties when needed.
This position requires working on the Mobile Health Unit approximately 75% of the time, with the remainder of the time providing services at a brick-and-mortar health center when not on the MHC.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service & Productivity (70%)
Monitor and prioritize client flow on the MHC, at outreach sites, and in health centers. Ensure efficient service delivery and room utilization.
Minimize client wait times by adjusting services and schedules as needed.
Provide client-centered service, ensuring compassionate, non-judgmental, and culturally responsive care.
Support client education and triage for services
Maintain ongoing communication with the PSB and Health Center teams and clinical leadership to ensure effective care delivery.
Adjust staff schedules and assignments daily to optimize operations.
Work closely with navigators, health center teams, and clinical staff to provide seamless patient experiences.
Program & Office Support (20%)
Serve as an Electronic Health Record (EHR) super-user.
Identify potential service delays and proactively collaborate with staff and leadership to address workflow concerns.
Assist in training, supporting, and monitoring staff.
Keep PSB and Health Center leadership informed about daily service flow and any operational issues.
Support quality assurance initiatives and ensure compliance with all PPGNY protocols.
Other Responsibilities (10%)
Stay up to date with policies, procedures, and best practices related to PSB and Health Center services.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.
Support special projects and initiatives as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
Experience with EHR systems and high-volume customer service roles.
Prior Planned Parenthood or healthcare experience.
Fluency in languages other than English is a plus.

Ability to work in mobile health settings and health centers, including climbing stairs and moving medical supplies.
Frequent use of computers, phones, and medical equipment.
