Children's Rescue Fund Employment Specialist in Bronx, New York

Meet with clients regarding their employment needs, assess employment history, and establish a realistic and viable job search plan. Assist clients with resume development and job search. Assist clients in exploring and registering for training, certification and education programs which supports clients goals of obtaining long term sustainable employment. Conduct workshops to teach job search skills such as resume writing, interview skills, completing online job applications, appropriate dress for the interview and time management. Develop and maintain partnerships with potential employers, trade schools, vocational training programs, government agencies who will provide employment opportunities and resources to the clients. Coordinate client participation in external job fairs and employer sponsored events. Escort clients to external job fairs, employer sponsored events, etc. as needed. Plan, develop and coordinate internal job fairs. Schedules client use of computer space and monitors client use of computers to ensure appropriate use of agency computers. Documents in electronic case notes all client interactions and employment related activities. Track and maintain records of attendance to workshops, internal and external activities and referrals. Complete reports which support departmental activities and client achievements in obtaining and maintaining employment, etc. Participates in team meetings and case conferences to discuss clients achievements or barriers in obtaining job training or employment. Participates in staff trainings, staff meetings, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
