The Inspired Community Project proudly offers New York State's first-ever Behavioral Health Apprenticeship Program, a unique opportunity for individuals to train under experienced professionals and work towards certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This role is a growth-oriented position within our Training & Excellence (T&E) Program. As a Behavior Technician (BT) apprentice, you'll receive hands-on training and mentorship from seasoned professionals in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), allowing you to build practical expertise through direct involvement in real-world applications.Throughout the training program, you'll progress through comprehensive learning modules designed to deepen your understanding of ABA principles. After each module, you'll demonstrate your mastery by completing competency exams. By the end of the T&E Program, you will have met all the requirements for RBT training and be fully prepared to sit for the licensing exam and obtain your certification.Upon successful graduation from the T&E Program and passing the RBT certification exam, you will have the option to continue your journey with us as a full-time salaried staff member, or we will support your transition to other organizations, ensuring you have the resources and connections needed to thrive in your career. For those who are already Registered Behavior Technicians, we offer salaried positions with opportunities for career advancement, including pathways into teaching or becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This apprenticeship is a transformative opportunity to pioneer a new era of behavioral health services while advancing your professional development.Duties and Responsibilities:Our Training & Excellence (T&E) Program is an apprenticeship program designed to train, support, and guide Behavior Technicians as they work toward their certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This immersive training program includes over 50 out-of-classroom paid training hours, along with the 40-hour RBT training curriculum, ensuring that apprentices graduate with the skills, confidence, and commitment needed for their future careers.Weekly required paid trainings with a Community Clinician and/or the Director of Training & ExcellenceOnce a month, attend a required 3-hour, paid training sessionPass the end of Module Exam, for all 4 ModulesComplete the 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician trainingWork ethically and with integrity while adhering to the BACB Ethics CodeParticipate in feedback sessions for the Training & Excellence ProgramStudent Facing Tasks:Provide 1:1 behavior analytic instruction in a natural, play-based, child-centered settingCreate a fun, motivating experience to generate the highest level of engagement and learning for every studentEngage students on their level; physically, emotionally and intellectuallyEnsure that basic physiological and safety needs of the students are metImplement evidence-based treatment plans for each child to target adaptive and self-care skills, emotional development, coping and tolerance skills, play and leisure skills, family relationships, language and communication, cognitive functioning, self-management, self-advocacy and independence, safety skills, and social relationshipsCollect data on program targets and utilize an online system to enter, track, and view progressAssist and help facilitate assessments, including preference assessments, the VB-MAPP, ABLLS and FBAsAssisting with snacks, packing and unpacking student materials and suppliesDaily health screening of students for wellness checksAdhere to all HIPAA compliance guidelines regarding photographs and other sensitive informationClassroom Responsibilities:Communicate with team members and student families in a positive manner, referring clinical questions to the Community Clinician.Respectfully collaborate with others working with the child to support the generalization of skills across environments.Reporting throughout the session on activities and progress that the child makes with the child’s teamCleaning and sanitizing centers and materials as requiredQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentDesire to, or in the process of obtaining, Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)Self-starter who has a strong ability to follow-through and complete tasksCreative and excited about working within a diverse communityStrong interpersonal skills AND organizational skillsAdhere to time and attendance policies to ensure consistent engagement and learning of our studentsRequirements:Background Check & FingerprintingActive Aspire Registry Register for ECETP e-Learning ECETP Training: Mandated Reporter [Free, 5hrs, online] To be completed prior to start date.ECETP Training: Foundations in Health and Safety e-Learning [Free, 5hrs, online] To be completed prior to start date.Training - CPR/Provision of first aid and emergency medical assistanceTraining - Use of an epinephrine auto-injectorPosition Details:Full time position, on siteSchedule: Day ShiftDaily: Monday - Friday 8am - 3:30pmThe First Tuesday of each month, required Intensive Training (paid) 3:00-6:00 pm

Minimum Salary: 17 Maximum Salary: 20 Salary Unit: Hourly
